
African Netball Championships 2019

The Uganda Netball Federation has announced a squad of 22 players that will begin preparations for the Upcoming Africa Netball Championships.
This year’s edition which will run from October 16th to 23rd will be held in South Africa and will also feature the hosts.
On Monday 16th September, the team started training at Lugogo Hockey grounds under the stewardship of head coach Rashid Mubiru and his assistant Robert Kisitu.
Team captain Peace Proscovia and Mary Nuba headline the squad.
The duo ply their trade abroad at Sunshine Lightening and Loughborough respectively.
They are set to link up with the rest of the team later this week.
Uganda is ranked sixth in the World and are the defending champions of the competition.
However, this time they will face stiff competition from hosts and 2019 World Cup Semifinalists South Africa as well as Malawi.
