KAMPALA–With the festive season fast approaching, one of East Africa’s biggest pay TV companies, Azam TV, has launched an offer to help the general public embrace the end of year festivities.
The offer that has been dubbed ‘NYONGEZA’ will see Ugandans who purchase full kits of Azam pay TV between today, October 24, 2017 and December 31,2017, able to attain the kit at only Shs145,000 with either four(4) months subscription on Pure Bouquet or two(2) months on the Play package.
Those that go to watch the Azam Uganda Premier League at different stadiums across the country will be able to purchase the full kit at only Shs120,000.
Speaking at the event organised at Hotel African this morning, Simon Arinaitwe, the General Manager-Azam TV Uganda, said the offer aims at celebrating the festive season with Ugandans.
“The festive season is here and as part of the celebrations, Azam TV Uganda will reward Ugandans who buy our packages and decoders during the period with massive discounts,” said Arinaitwe at the launch.
“Whoever purchases our kit will be able to get either four or two months subscription and the football fraternity that we have been working with in the past few years will be able to get a discount of Shs25,000 on purchase of our product at different stadiums,” Arinaitwe said.
“The existing customers have also not been left out because once one renews their subscription by three months, they automatically get two more months of viewing free of charge,” he added.
Those who already have dishes will in this period be able to attain decoders at only Shs85,000 so as to be able to watch over 100 channels of home entertainment covering the Azam Uganda premier league, News, music, Soaps, Cartoons, local East African channels and so much more.
Arinaitwe also said the number of Azam Uganda premier league games telecast live on TV per week have increased to four.
“Previously we have been showing two games per week in the Azam Uganda premier league but as our existing customers know already, the number has grown to four already with a game each on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday,” Arinaitwe said.
“We have also launched a new sports channel dubbed ‘Azam sports 2’ for more sports content and replays from the Azam Uganda premier league (AUPL), Azam Rwanda premier league(ARPL) and the Vodafone premier league(VPL),” he added.
Arinaitwe also assured the public that the number of local channels will be increasing to 20 in the near future.
“At the moment, we have 14 local channels but I want to assure the general public that the number will be growing to 20 within the next 12 months so that your entertainment can as well be increased,” Arinaitwe said.
The lowest packages of Azam pure has been cut from Shs12,500 to Shs10,000 with a major aim of enabling customers to watch their favourite shows but the other packages of Azam play (37,000) and Azam Plus (25,000) have remained intact.
