KAMPALA – MultiChoice has appointed Albert Nga as its new head of marketing in Uganda.
The appointment announced Tuesday January 22 in Kampala follows the exit of Phoebe Nakabazzi who resigned her duties in the same position. Observers say Nakabazzi’s exit could have been fuelled by her last year’s alleged inappropriate behaviour that linked her to a married man.
Mr Nga comes with a solid experience of 18 years in marketing businesses having previously served GOtv as the Marketing Manager before joining MultiChoice where he has been working for more than six years now.
The new posting will require Ngabirano to manage strategies for both DStv and GOtv brands. And over all, he will be responsible for developing and sustaining MultiChoice Uganda’s marketing strategy in line with the companies purpose to enrich lives using the power of entertainment through the company’s cutting edge technology on the DStv & GOtv platforms while sustaining the pay TV’s position as market leader.
Nga, as he is popularly known at the pay TV, has worked for East African Breweries Ltd and Coca Cola, among other firms.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Bugema University (Uganda) and a Master’s Degree in International Business Administration from ESLSCA Business School (France).
Nga is a family man.
