KAMPALA – The Republic of Uganda will host the 1st Uganda – Turkey Business Forum from 17th -19th June 2019 at the Commonwealth Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala.
The main objective of this Business Forum is to create an opportunity that enables the business communities from Uganda and Turkey to share experiences, create business networks, and identify opportunities & challenges of on-going trade and investment between both countries.
The Forum is organized by the Uganda Embassy in Turkey, the Turkish Embassy in Kampala in partnership with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), the Foreign Relations Economic Board of the Republic of Turkey and the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Uganda and Turkey enjoy warm and excellent Bilateral relations. These strong historical bonds are anchored on existing cooperation frameworks, through which the two countries achieve common goals and interests.
The Forum is expected to bring together the Business Community from Uganda and Turkey as well as Senior Government officials, policymakers and political leaders, Business Analysts, International Organizations, Multinational agencies and development partners to mention but a few.
Participants and speakers from the private sector in Uganda and Turkey will be drawn from key sectors of; Agriculture, Mining, Tourism, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Agro Processing to mention but a few.
The Forum will discuss Trade and Investment opportunities between Uganda and Turkey in order to facilitate trade between the two countries. There will be Business to Business (B2B) Sessions that will provide networking opportunities for Members of the Business community to further engage.
