KAMPALA – The MTN group has on Friday July 19, announced the appointment of Yolanda Cuba as the Chief Digital and Fintech Officer.
She will be part of the Executive Committee and will in her new role report directly to the group CEO Rob Shuter.
She will also lead the strategic expansion of the telecom’s financial services, digital solutions efforts and transformation into a digital operator.
Ms.Yolanda brings on board a wealth of extensive experience in the telecommunication industry and leadership from Vodacom where she served as the Chief Officer in charge of strategy, mergers and aquisitions. In addition, she was previously the CEO of Vodafone Ghana where she did a three-year stint, a role that earned her the annual recognition as Telecom Chief Executive Officer of the year 2018.
Mr. Rob Shuter has revealed that under her stewardship ,the company will grow the fintech and digital opportunities in Africa since it is a major driver of the bright growth strategy.
