KAMPALA – Multichoice Uganda has confirmed that it will be putting into effect some price changes that will affect their DStv as well as a few GOtv subscribers according to new packages.
In brief statement on social media the company on Tuesday August 20, 2019 confirmed that: “it’s true, we are slashing our prices.”
Starting from 1st September 2019, the pay-TV company DSTV Uganda will decrease all their monthly subscriptions by a total of 30% for some packages.
Most of the changes will be made on DStv, and only one reduction has been planned for GOtv as only GOtv Plus’s subscription fee will be reduced.
On the other hand, DStv Premium, Compact+ and Compact Bouquets, as well as DStv Family’s monthly subscription will be reduced.
DStv Uganda recently partnered with MTN Uganda to rollout internet bundles that subscribers can utilize to easily live-stream TV via the DStv Now application.
These new bundles are affordable and are also available to existing Premium subscribers to access at an affordable price.
DSTV is also dropping prices in Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana and Malawi, a move that believed to be informed by tough market conditions in these countries.
