KAMPALA — Airtel Uganda is repeating its recharge promotion Mega Masappe, with twist that will provide prepaid subscribers with instant bonuses.
The campaign will run until 15 November.
Subscribers receive a daily, weekly or monthly target and will be required to recharge.
When the target is met, they receive a 100 percent bonus split between free data and free minutes for on-net calls.
With Mega Masappe, subscribers should dial star 162 hash to check their targets. They can top up via electronic recharge or Airtel Money.
Mr. Amit Kapur, the Airtel Uganda Chief Commercial Officer noted that the return of Mega Masappe highlights Airtel’s commitment towards innovation and the customization of individual subscriber needs.
“With this new promotion, we are calling upon our customers to enjoy the simple pleasure of staying in touch with their friends and families while earning bonuses to call and stay connected to the internet” he said.
As part of the Mega Masappe recharge promotion, subscribers will be able to dial *162# and check for their targets. Subscribers will then recharge through electronic recharge or Airtel Money to hit their targets and a bonus will be received instantly.
Subscribers can dial *175*4# to check for their data bonus and *170# for the minutes bonus.
He said that commitment to subscribers has always been a key point of focus at Airtel Uganda.
“This commitment has taken us on a journey of targeted investment in the network and our infrastructure to ensure we are providing equal development and communication opportunities for Ugandans across the country,” he said.
He added that this journey has included the setting up network masts in the most rural areas in Uganda, ensuring countrywide 4G connectivity and introducing the cheapest 4G enabled smartphone in the country.
