KAMPALA — Kenjoy Supermarket customers in Kampala Metropolitan Area (KMP) could soon be able to shop from home as the supermarket giant looks into launching an online delivery service.
Since its first store opened 25 years ago, Kenjoy has grown to four Branches and Distribution Centres in Mengo, Bukoto, Najjankumbi, and Nansana
It has now fired its latest salvo in the battle to win over Kampala Metropolitan Area shoppers by launching an online store.
The low-cost supermarket has also revealed its item will range from toiletries, groceries, cosmetics, kitchen and home appliances, baby items, and toys.
Kenjoy Managing Director Michael Dondo called the online launch another “exciting chapter in our story” as the supermarket seeks to expand both internally and externally.
Internally, he said, “I mean we shall increase the services we offer to our customers, and it externally is about infrastructural capacity”
With, Kenjoy Supermarket taking the campaign a notch higher by introducing its customers to the online platform, the management says the goal is to be the most reliable online supermarket in Uganda.
The 25 years old supermarket becomes the first retail store in Kampala to launch the application that would ease shopping for its clients and enhance e-commerce.
The shoppers only need to download an online application Kenjoy retail from Google play store on their mobile phones to enjoy the new shopping experience.
Officials have announced that their new online ordering and home delivery feature will initially be available for Kampala and Wakiso, with long term plans of covering other central districts.
With this, Kenjoy will indeed continue to be the shoppers’ joy.
