KAMPALA — The Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) has elevated Mr.Julius Wandera who has been the communications manager to the Director of Corporate and Consumer Affairs.
Mr. Wandera becomes the first serve in the capacity of Director of Corporate and Consumer Affairs at the state-run electricity regulator.
His appointment was announced by ERA on Wednesday July 1, 2020 in a public notice.
“Mr. Julius Wandera becomes the First Director of Corporate and Consumer Affairs at the Electricity Regulatory Authority,” the notice posted on both Facebook and Twitter.
Former Makerere Head of Department of Journalism and Communication at Makerere University Mr. George Lugalambi in a Facebook comment said Mr. Wandera deserved the elevation into the trailblazing position.
Mr. Lugalambi also thanked ERA for grooming Mr. Wandera into this leadership role.
“Well deserved elevation Julius Wandera. Best wishes in your trailblazing position, and congratulations to ERA for grooming you into this leadership role,” Mr. Lugalambi wrote.
Mr. Sunny Bernard Tusubira, the head of procurement at Uganda Wild Authority also congratulated Mr. Wandera for his new role.
He also praised Mr Wandera of patience.
“Congratulations Julius…. One thing am learning from you is patience in life, and to you ERA, thanks for being good supporters of your staff, he wrote ,adding that “I have at least interacted with most of ERA staff & all confirm how the entity has contributed to their growth. Hope to be with you again sometime. Shalom ERA!”
