KAMPALA – While most of the artists are busy cursing the effects of the global pandemic Covid-19 placed on the music industry, Star Girl Spice Diana will not forget 2020 clearly for the good reasons.
In just the first half of the year, the singer has managed to secure over three endorsement deals from big companies around the country making her one of the busiest artistes in the country today.
These ranged from beauty products brands, mobile phone brands and now to a mobile money transfer platform (Chipper Cash), the “Mood” singer is doing the most to better her brand, a goal she set for herself a few years ago.
In the contract signed, the Source Management Songstress’ primary role will be creating awareness for the Chipper Cash brand on all her social media accounts going by the fact that she commands a huge fan base on her social media.
This contract comes just a few weeks back after Spice Diana received a YouTube silver creator award for hitting 100,000 subscribers, a number that a handful of Ugandan entertainers have.
Unlike other deals she has signed, this is literally the biggest although the artiste was tight-lipped on how much she was given to execute this.
Chipper Cash is arguably the largest mobile money cross-border transfer platform in Africa present in seven African countries including Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa and Tanzania with over 1 million downloads and available for Android and iOS users.
Looks like Singer Spice Diana’s brand is surely out there and no wonder she was also recently chosen among the many Top Divas in town as a messenger by a one man of God Bishop Arnold Muwonge of Kampala Children’s Center, Wakiso to deliver Covid relief to the less privileged children in Katanga Slum, Wandegeya.
Spice has in the past been branded the queen of quarantine by her fans for she had been moving around the entire lockdown helping out people and fellow artists with items to help them out in the pandemic.
