ENTEBBE – Africa Center for Economic Dialogue (AfCED), Entebbe Chapter of the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Entebbe Municipal Council have joined hands to ensure thorough marketing of Entebbe city, not just inland but across the continent.
According to them, Entebbe is known as Uganda’s entrance and exit, lake city, and tourism city and they strive to make it an industrial city as well.
These were on Tuesday addressing the press ahead of Entebbe International Business Summit scheduled for 14 and 15th March 2024.
To be officiated by H.E Jessica Alupo, Vice President of the Republic of Uganda, the Summit to be hosted at Best Western Premier Hotel will be focused on showcasing different opportunities and challenges of doing business and investing in Entebbe and Uganda, fostering dialogue and partnership between the public and private sectors, the civil society, development partners, and identifying the gaps and needs for improving the business and investment climate in Entebbe and Uganda.
“The Entebbe International Business Summit and Expo 2024 is a premier platform for connecting, learning, and collaboration. It aims to showcase Entebbe’s potential, opportunities and achievements, foster networking and collaboration, explore the challenges and opportunities, inspire and empower the participants to take action.”

Previously known as Entebbe Business Summit, the fifth has been named International “just for us to make sure that in the next five years or even more, we sell and market Entebbe city beyond the borders and boundaries of Uganda.”
“So, we want to see if someone enters Entebbe with assume $1,000, let it not be spent elsewhere. Let us also be able to be aggressive, position ourselves to be visible, so that that tourist can spend a good amount of money on the services and products in Entebbe,” they added.
Entebbe Deputy Mayor – Kabwama Charles commended the organizers and all stakeholders for this effort.
“There’s so much that Entebbe does that the world does not know and through this initiative, Entebbe will shine outside.”
The summit will be supported by the Uganda Investment Authority, Uganda Industrial Research Institute, Diamond Trust Bank, Britam Asset Managers, Uganda Tourism Board, I-Strive MarketPlace, SHIFT Enterprise Academy, and Pakistan High Commission in Uganda.
