KAMPALA – Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director Sharifah Buzeki has been tapped as chief runner for the 2025 Absa KH3 7 Hills Run, organizers announced.
Buzeki’s participation underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in driving meaningful social change, particularly in promoting girls’ education.
“Joining the Absa KH3-7 Hills Run as Chief Runner is more than a personal challenge- it’s a stand for every girl who deserves an education. I’m proud to lead this effort alongside Absa and our partners come March 16th,” Buzeki said while receiving her kit from the Absa team.
David Wandera, interim Managing Director at Absa Uganda, praised Buzeki’s commitment to the cause. “It is an honour to have Ms. Sharifah Buzeki as Chief Runner. Her leadership and commitment to bettering Kampala make her an inspiring figure for our participants. We are excited for her to lead this effort for girls’ education.”
The event has garnered support from various partners, including Mighty Rides Limited, Hariss International, Prudential Uganda, Kakira Sugar, UAP Old Mutual, DHL, Kampala Pharmaceutical Industries, Bakhaima Real Estate Agents, NBS Sport, Nation Media Group, Graphic Systems, and Deposit Protection Fund (DPF).
“We are incredibly thankful for our partners’ commitment to this cause,” Wandera said. “Their support is crucial in ensuring the success of the KH3 – 7 Hills Run and in empowering girls through education.”
