Fathers Day is here and Ugandans have started updating their social media sites with pictures (selfies) of themselves with their fathers and children to celebrate the men that made them who they are.
Fathers many times are unsung heroes receiving little praise yet the burden of raising children and providing the basic needs of life for their families weighs heavily on them. Many of them lead lives of self sacrifice working on odd hours and undertaking grandiose tasks so that their families may not lack.
Celebrated on every third week of June, this year’s celebration will see many Kampala restaurants and hotels set aside a special Father’s Day menu for fathers to enjoy the day. Treat your father to a sumptuous meal this Father’s Day. It can either be at home or at the various restaurants and hotels in country.
