After a short stint in politics where he stood as the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flagbearer for the Kampala mayoral race, Dan Kazibwe aka Ragga Dee has returned to what he knows best, music.
The dreadlocked singer and veteran artiste has made his musical comeback following the release of his latest album dubbed ‘The many moods of RaggaDee’. The album has songs recorded in different styles, including Ragga, Reggea,bax raga, Afro, Luga flow, Hip pop and folk.
In an interview with PML Daily, the veteran singer said the Album has 100 songs which he described as both inspirational and educative.
“I am a versatile musician doing all music styles equally well and that is how artistes are distinguished from performers. For one to be an artiste must be in position to act, think, and do art uniquely, “ the mayoral flop said.
Raga Dee who has been off the spotlight in the music circles ever since he lost the mayoral seat to Erias Lukwago said his disappearance from the scene was intended to enable him get enough time to concentrate on his political obligations.
He said since the political season is over, he is coming back to the music industry to show his legendary skills and experience.
The new album also has new songs like I wish, Jah bless, Neighbor, Amasanyalaze,and among others. The songs, according to the veteran musician, were recorded in different studios both local and international.
