
KAMPALA – In its debut entry into the Kampala Restaurant Week, Speke Apartment’s La Cabana Restaurant, beat 40 other restaurants participating in this year’s 4th edition, to the most coveted Top Signature Dining Award.
Kampala Restaurant Week is perhaps the biggest and most exciting foods and beverages party, bringing together Kampala top chefs and restaurants in a series of culinary experiences at affordable prices to Kampala’s foodies. The week gives a chance to Kampala’srevellerss and food connoisseurs to indulge in memorable local, continental and international cuisines from Kampala’s top restaurants.
Participating restaurants also compete for recognition via voting and endorsements from participants. This year’s edition featured over 40 restaurants.
Offering Kampala’s first authentic Brazilian menu, La Cabana at Speke Apartments, Wampewo Avenue, is famous for its premium and stylish churrasco grill experience that offers an eat-till-you-drop indulgence.
The range of unlimited meats includes, pork, top sirloin steak, lamb legs, rock salt pork cubes, BBQ chicken and beer marinated chicken served on skewers by an army of gauchos (South American Cowboys) with ‘Rambo knives’ at the flip of a card.

La Cabana also offers a treat for vegetarians with an array of home-made sides as well as a range of grilled vegetables, cheeses, bread and salads. The restaurant offers a continental and Indian menu as well and is open every day 6:30 AM – 11:00 PM
Other winners included Olives Restaurant who won the Top Casual Dining and Best Innovation Awards.
Karveli Kampala, another newcomer won the Outstanding Service Award.
