KAMPALA– Police in Kampala on Wednesday raided the home of City socialite Charles Alim Alias Sipapa and arrested him for allegedly defaulting his rent arrears of about three months. He is also reported for beating up a journalist who was on scene recording and taking photos of him.
According to reports, Sipapa badly beat up a Spark TV journalist, Alex Bongole who was on his duty taking pictures when he (Sipapa) was being evacuated from the house.
However, this is not first time Sipapa to be arrested, the socialite was on July 19 arrested for inconsiderate use of a motor vehicle and violating traffic rules at Kisekka Market in Kampala.
He is currently detained at Kira Police Station over assault charges.
