ENTEBBE – The American socialite couple, Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian have met President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at Entebbe State House on Monday morning.
Reports reaching this website confirm that the celebrity couple was flown in a UPDF chopper from Chobe Safari Lodge located in Murchison Falls National Park in North-Western Uganda to State House Entebbe.
According to State House official, the socialite couple hailed Uganda before Museveni as one of the world’s beautiful country having marvelled at the scenery in Murchison Falls National Park.
The couple had breakfast with President Museveni in company of the first son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba who was later seen showing Mr West around the presidential palace
President Museveni took to his social media page confirming their visit at the presidential palace and urged Kanye and Kim Kardashian West to enjoy their stay.
“I welcome American entertainment stars Kanye West and Kim Kardashian to Uganda. I held fruitful discussions with the duo on how they can support efforts to promote Uganda’s tourism and the general arts. I thank Kanye West for the gift of white sneakers. Enjoy your time in Uganda. There is no country more beautiful than the Pearl of Africa,’ read a statement on the President’s official page.
Museveni was gifted with white Yeezy sneakers, autographed by Kanye and Kim Kardashian West.
The celebrity couple flew into the country on Friday, October 12, and currently staying at Chobe Safari Lodge at Murchison Falls National Park North West of capital Kampala.
According to available information, Kardashian escorted husband Kanye West who is said to be in Uganda for a video shoot for his eponymous eighth studio album.
Kanye West is expected to work on his ninth album Yandhi while in Uganda.
