MASAKA- John Chriesestom Muyingo, who hails from Masaka district recently came up claiming he is the grandfather to Uganda’s female musician, Rema Namakula.
Muyingo said due to unavoidable circumstances, he has not met with Rema in a long time since she was young before she disappeared with her mum Halima Namakula.
Sources reveal that Rema grew up with her mother Halima Namakula.
Muyingo says that’s why Rema and the family have separated for long with no see and wants to be reunited with Rema.
“She says she doesn’t have a family, yet we are here. And we love her,” Muyingo said.
The old man has also implored Eddy Kenzo to man up and introduce himself to the family in Masaka.
“We are waiting for Kenzo. Let him come and officially ask for your hand in marriage,” Mzee asked Rema.
However, Rema said that she does not know her uncle.
“If he is my grandfather as he claims, why didn’t he come straight to where I stay.”
