ENTEBBE– Nkumba University guild leadership, Friday, November 2 suspended all lectures over administration’s failure to release funds meant for the cultural gala dubbed Miss and Mr. Nkumba.
In a November 1 letter to the student’s fraternity and copied to the Vice Chancellor, academic registrar among other key stakeholders, Mr. Young Boniface the guild president said all lecture will be out of bounds even to lecturers.
“This is to inform the entire students’ fraternity that tomorrow, Friday, November 2, 2018, all lecture rooms will be out of bounds to any students and lecturers,” he noted.
Boniface said also added that the university has failed to release funds for the same date as communicated earlier on.
This prompted him to request students’ fraternity to cooperate for what he has termed as a general cause for the university.
Mr. Bernard Eceru, Public Relations Officer at the Entebbe based university said they are holding a meeting to solve the matter.
The university has on a number of accessions including in 2014 has closed after students refused to call off strikes.
