KAMPALA- After filling Cricket Oval at Lugogo and having successful concerts upcountry with great stewardship from Balaam Marketing Agency, all seems to be well with the self-proclaimed Doctor Chameleone real name Joseph Mayanja.
As he performed at his recent ‘Saba Saba’ concert, the ‘mateeka’ hitmaker promised the fans that he will be venturing into the nightlife and they should watch the space and also wait for Chameloene Radio to hit the airwaves soon but with the recent regulations from Uganda communications he must use already available frequencies.
Over the weekend, the Acacia Avenue situated lounge was launched just before the Wink opposite Protea Hotel in Kololo, Kampala.
The night was hosted by Chameloene himself, Sheila Salta as Mc and had Uganda’s finest DJ like Roja and Slick Stuart, Urban star and many others. There were also performances from his younger brother Weasel.
Inside, the place has paintings of great music icons like the late Mowzey Radio among others.
“This is a Music hub. I did all this to promote talent since most artists have nowhere to showcase their talent. Artists like Mowzey Radio will never be forgotten and that’s why we have done some memorable paintings in honor of their work towards the music industry in Uganda,”said Chameloene.
