
New York City – The Miss World Africa and Miss Uganda 2018 Quiin Abenakyo has been awarded with the Twegaite Achievement Award at the Westin Hotel during the 2019 Twegaite International Convention in New York City on the 24-27, May 2019 -(Memorial Holiday Weekend).
Ms. Abenakyo thanked the organisers for choosing and recognising her.

Twegaite International Organization built up a mutual relationship with the reigning Miss Africa to continue supporting the Girl Child Education Initiative in Busoga region and the rest of Uganda.
This is the highest Twegaite award. Past recipients include former Miss Uganda Leah Kalanguka, Racheal Magoola of Afrigo band, and Speaker Rebecca Kadaga.
Ms. Abenakyo was crowned Miss Uganda in August 2018 at Sheraton Hotel in Kampala.
She made history when she was crowned Miss World Africa at the 2018 Miss World finale in Sanya, China last December hails from Mayuge district in eastern Uganda and is also the first Miss Uganda to make it to the top 5 finalists.
