
KAMPALA – Ugandan beauty Anita Ayebare who emerged 4th in the global Miss Tourism beauty pageant that was hosted in Zagreb, Croatia has been warmly welcomed home.
She was ushered back into the country by the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) that organized a welcome party at the Sheraton hotel in Kampala in her honour to celebrate her recent global achievements.
As a new tourism ambassador, Anita was treated to a sumptuous feast at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala to reward her efforts and for raising the Ugandan flag so high.
“You made us proud to sell the country, am very grateful to the parents of Anita Ayebare who whole-heartedly gave us their daughter with all the support,” remarked Allan Kanyike Bwette -CEO Miss Tourism.

The exclusive invitations to this event comprised of UTB board members that included Mr. Bradford Ochieng UTB’s Deputy Executive Director and, Allan Kanyike Bwette – the CEO Miss Tourism- Uganda plus journalists and other stakeholders.
“These girls are like my sisters, am proud about the queens we are bringing up, these are focused and willing to take a career in tourism. Let’s support tourism for the better of Uganda,” said Jacky Kemirembe, a Miss Tourism board member.
Mr. Bradford Ochieng, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, UTB hailed Anita for promoting the country’s image through this competition.

“We are committed to promoting tourism all of you in your rights have a role to play in your fields to thank Anita Ayebare for all the endurance she took, beating over 54 plus countries on the same stage. It is a big achievement,” said Mr. Ochieng.
He further added that “We shall continue to work with you and everyone one else marketing the country as a pristine destination”
It must be recalled that Ms. Anita Ayebare was the 2nd runner up in the 2017 edition of Miss Tourism.
