
KAMPALA – The 7th Edition of the Capital FM big wedding formally stamped the love relationship between Wilbroad Atukwase and Bonnie Nyangoma who have been dating for over seven years.
The couple was the winner of a fully sponsored wedding ceremony. The competition attracted over 150 love letters from various contestants that were submitted in sharing about their experiences in the love journey with their fiancés.
The love birds exchanged vows at Kakumba Chapel in Kyambogo University on Friday afternoon.
The newly-wedded couple hosted their guests to a reception at Speke Resort Munyonyo, on Friday, September 6.
At about 6:30pm the entourage sauntered in all looking fresh, elegantly dressed as they danced their way in ushered by a beautiful melody “Omusheshe” by Spice Diana and Ray G one of the local home-grown trending songs.
Saxophonist Micheal Kitanda and Myco Ouma on guitar heightened the mood with a fusion of soulful jazz with a catalogue of songs such as”Viol”, “Otwebembere”, “biri biri” Dangote” “Gutujja” “In love with you” , “Very well” , ” wankona” “Angelina,” played in the background as the guests in attendance enjoyed sumptuous meals with all tribes of beverages.
Mr. Wilbroad Atukwase said;
“I thank Capital FM together with the sponsors that have made it possible to have this colourful event. Those that have been able to come plus those that have not come. I promise to be a loving husband.This is the seventh season running and we are celebrating seven years of dating,” he said.
“We were notified aweek ago. God made it possible and hope we’re not the last couple since there are very many that need this opportunity as well,” said a delighted Mr Atukwase.
Mrs Bonnie Atukwase Nyangoma, the bride said;
“I am glad that after 7 years, God has made it possible and am looking forward to giving you twins and hope to love you forever and always even in heaven. I am grateful to my friends from Childhood to now and I never take you for granted and generous applause to the organisers that have put all this.”

Mr. John Paul Mugwanya, the events manager in the same spirit noted that;
“Ladies and gentlemen the reason for coming through here is because of the couple and guests who have come from Bushenyi, Mbarara and other places. I congratulate them upon this milestone and thank the team that has made it possible from July to date and we are doing more for other people and hope to get better since we are making the 26th year.
As the party got lit Lydia Jazmine stepped on stage clad in classy black dress with golden laces. She got the couple giggy alongside the entourage and the guests with her love songs that included; “Same way”, “Wankolera”, “You and me” and others.
About the Couple:
They met at Kyambogo University, Kampala in 2012 during outreach and she is a teacher of Literature and English and director of studies( DOS) at St.Agnes Girls School while Wilbroad is an engineer and a teacher of physics and mathematics serving as the director of Studies( DOS) at Exodus College, Wakiso.
