KAMPALA – The famous Ghetto Kids are organising a fundraising concert to raise money as the group is on verge of losing their house after failing to complete payments.
According to Dauda Kavuma, the group manager, they have now paid UGX88M on a total of UGX220M.
Under their ‘Save Triplets Ghetto Kids House, campaign, the dancing crew will stage a concert at Freedom City on a yet to be confirmed dates.
However, many have left wondering if really the multi-million house located at Salaama Road, Kampala belongs to Ghetto Kids as alleged or their manager, the fact that all the house details are in his (Kavuma) names.

It should be recalled that an American music star French Montana had pledged a hand in buying the kids a house after featuring in his song ‘unforgettable’ but while appearing on a local TV station recently, Mr Kavuma revealed that Montana sent about UGX70M which they paid and given up to December this year.
Earlier this month, the group reached out to the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga seeking financial support from the government for their welfare.
“We bought a house at the cost of Ushs220 million; only managed to pay half of it and have no hope of paying the entire lump sum in the time duration given to us of December,” he noted

Kavuma added that the group which consists of children from slums in Kampala with exceptional talent in dancing faces hardships sponsoring its members to attend performances and events where they are supposed to be recognised.
“Many times we have been called to go receive awards or attend events abroad but we all cannot afford because of travel expenses,” he said.
