WASHINGTON — Microsoft founder Bill Gates has congratulated his 23-year-old daughter who has got engaged to her 29-year-old Egyptian fiancee.
Jennifer Gates and boyfriend Nassar posted their engagement photos on Instagram last Wednesday, January 29, drawing immediate response from Bill Gates.
“I am completely thrilled. Congratulations,” Gates posted.
The two love birds got engaged on a skiing holiday, with the Egyptian showjumper set to represent Egypt in showjumping at Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics.
Jennifer, a Stanford medical graduate, posted a picture of her new diamond ring from Nassar.
“I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives learning, growing, laughing and loving together. Yes a million times over,” Jennifer wrote.
Named the richest person in the world in 2017, Bill Gates, who founded Microsoft with the late Paul Allen in 1975, is also known for his philanthropic work.
He established the world’s largest private charitable organization alongside his wife Melinda, according to Forbes, and has donated $35.8 billion worth of stocks from Microsoft.
