KAMPALA – The management of Top TV has apologised to Miss Uganda Olivia Nakakande over unprofessional conduct of host who mistreated her on air.
A video circulated on social media showing the host of the “Cocktail” show Ms Joan Lule yelling at her guest Ms Nakakande even when the latter kept her calm.
In a statement dated Wednesday, April 22, Top TV admitted that their employee conducted herself unprofessionally.
“We wish to inform you that management is handling this particular issue within our internal mechanisms and in accordance with the company Human Resource Policy and the Disciplinary code,” reads an excerpt.
Top TV noted that Ms Nalule already apologized on the same show on April 22,2020.
“We hereby extend our apologies to Miss Oliver Nakakande, Miss Uganda Foundation and all our viewers across the spectrum for this unbecoming conduct,” reads the statement in part.
According to Top television, they’re committed to always uphold ethicals values and principles.
