The strong woman in Barbie Kyagulanyi has seen the couple get through a lot and also propelled Bobi Wine to rise to greater horizons from the ghetto to this point where he is currently eyeing the top most office in the country.
Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi, the woman Bobi Wine fronts as the pillar behind his success, decided to move in with a young Bobi Wine who swept her off her feet Nineteen years ago. Yesterday the couple celebrated nine years since they walked down the aisle at Rubaga Cathedral.
Today, the couple commands a huge following of fans and supporters who became a darling of the family ever since Kyagulanyi stepped into politics upon winning the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament seat.
To celebrate their 9th wedding anniversary, the love birds poured out their hearts through social media posts where they expressed their profound love for each other and reaffirming the commitment of the matrimony.
Barbie explained how perfectly Bobi has loved her since they met several years ago and how she was lucky to have him not only as a wife but also as a best friend.
“My nineteen years of staying under the same roof with you have been years of self-realization, utmost growth and total bliss. I am lucky to be your wife, to have you for a best friend and to be the mother of your children. I am excited about the coming times ahead. For better, for best, for the good and the pretty,” she posted.
To Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu who is also a 2021 presidential hopeful, the anniversary was a day for remembering the exact words his father told him on the day that he was getting married to Barbie.
“Son, this ring means a commitment and promise to LOVE someone’s daughter the same way that I have loved you. I know you have already loved her for 10years but with this ring, it’s a covenant not only between you and her but between our two families and our communities. If you keep this commitment and promise, I will sleep well even in my grave”, said my father on 27th August 2011 in the dressing room,” he posted.
Kyagulanyi further reaffirmed his commitment and love for the wife promising her that he was not only loving her for himself but also for the sake of their family.
