
NAIROBI – East Africa’s TikTok queen Azziad Nasenya has been named the official global ambassador for the ‘Save Our Future’ campaign.
Famed for her Okwonkwo Tik Tok Challenge that went viral earlier in the lockdown, Azziad is a Kenyan actress, content creator and accomplished social influencer.
The movement (Save Our Future) focuses on protecting the environment and supporting the young generation to attain education which was disrupted by the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
COVID-19 pandemic is reported to have disrupted the education of over 90% of the world’s students and also aggravated the already existing inequalities, and magnified the global learning crisis, putting the future generation at a risk.
Upon receipt the confirmation for her new appointment, Azziad hit her social media to share the good news with her fans and followers.
“I am happy to announce that I have joined the @SaveFutureNow campaign as an Official Global Ambassador. I continue to benefit from education in its many forms, and I strongly believe that education provides dignity,” she shared on her social media handles.
According to a statement from Save Our Furture, they settled for Azziad because she is someone passionate about making sure all Children learn.

While education is clearly a victim of the pandemic, it is also the solution to the longer-term recovery.
Save Our Future which is the greatest education emergency of our times is a global movement led by UNICEF, UNESCO, The World Bank, The Education Commission, Global Partnership For Education, Education Cannot Wait, BRAC, Education Outcomes Fund, ADEA, African Development Bank, and the Asian Development Bank.
