KAMPALA – Renowned city comedian Frank Mubiru better known by his stage name Chiko of the famous comedy duo Madrat &Chiko and wife Melanie Ofrah over the weekend welcomed their first child as a couple two months after their scientific ‘Kukyala’ ceremony.
The comedian, now a proud father of one, shared the good news via his social media platforms that saw a number of his fans and followers sending him congratulatory messages, welcoming the fruits of his love with Ofrah.
The funny rib-cracker who has not yet revealed the name of his daughter disclosed that the baby and the wife are safe and in good condition and as well thanked his fans for praying for them.
“Welcome to the world princess. Thanks for your Prayers, Love n Support God blessed us with a baby girl last weekend,” Chiko posted.
Chiko’s wife Melanie Ofrah gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday at Kampala Hospital where she was admitted as her labor time clocked.
Last week, the comedian threw Melanie a luxurious baby shower that he (Chiko) heavily invested-in for her friends to surprise her.
Earlier on in August this year, Chiko who is famed by his Nseko Buseko annual show that he does with his counterpart Madrat was introduced to his Fiance’s (Melanie Ofra) parents’ home in Kawuku along Entebbe Road.
The mini function hosted a few of Chiko’s friends that were led by his comedy partner Madrat and John Segawa who escorted him.
Elated Chiko later took to his social media platforms and shared the good news and pictures to his fans and friends.
“Love is a journey starting at forever and ending at never-finally,” he wrote.
Chiko and Ofra were rumoured to have been dating for some time and she has been the woman in the comedian’s life.
Basing on the photos that he poured out on his social media platforms, the comedian was seen kneeling down on one knee putting a ring on his lover’s finger while all looking smitten.
