KAMPALA – ‘Hairby Zziwa’ celebrated its 5th anniversary. The Hair Garage that was started by Kennedy Ziwa has become a household name as it has worked on most celebrity haircuts and plaiting. The proprietor chose to celebrate the milestone in the hair business by surprising his employees who had assumed it was a normal working day.
He treated them to enjoyments of a party bus that was waiting outside the salon. The bus was well equipped with music, cocktails and food, as it headed to Entebbe before making a stop at Spenah Beach.
Here, they had lunch and a photoshoot. The first phase of the party was never at the beach but was in the slow bus which used the Entebbe Express highway.

The bus that was moving at a slow speed gave the people on board a party experience on the 707 Party bus.
They were later returned to the 707 safari’s party house in Naalya where the main event was scheduled to take place. The night had silent disco with all kinds of fun with tents pitched in the location for whoever wanted to spend the night.
An early morning workout session for all the employees refreshed them for a workshop which later ushered them into the party. Hosted by Deedan Muyiira.

The enjoyment was not only for the staff of the salon but also a number of clients and celebrities. Most of the notable faces were comedian Salvador and his wife Daphine, Andrew Kyamagero and multi-award winning artist Eddy Kenzo who came in later in the evening.
Much as most revelers expected the ‘Made in Africa’ album star to perform, he did not but got hold of the microphone and tipped words of encouragement to the revelers.
He called upon youths out there to emulate Ziwa who in his youthful days was able to start up something and empower his fellow youth by creating employment opportunities for them.
Due to the curfew enforcements, the merry making event ended at 6:30 and by 7pm everyone had left the venue.
