KAMPALA – Celebrated vocalist Rema Namakula has denied responsibility of screen shots on social media, purpoting she posted on facebook a rant after former boss, Bebe Cool came out to support the Over The Top services tax, OTT on one of his social media platforms.
Ugandans on 16 July, 2018 were woken up to to screen shots that seemingly portrayed the mother of one agitated and spitting fire at Bebe Cool for his decision to support OTT tax which left many fans wondering how a seemingly peaceful Rema could disrespect her mentor in such a manner.
The dimpolicious singer has come out to deny these claims stating that it is a fake account of which she knows nothing about.
She further stated that she learnt of this malicious post after a series of phone calls from friends and fellow musicians who were asking her about it.
‘I have woken up to screenshots from many people about a particular post going around, but you all know my page is verified and has a blue tick, so whoever is going on with is fakery, sort yourself, i was not brought up to disrespect and judge people like that.’ stated Rema on one of her social media platforms.
Bebe Cool and Rema have not been on good terms for close to two years now, after Bebe said he didn’t not mentor Rema to be a mikolo singer (Rema is said to be the most booked artist for weddings and introduction ceremomies) and Rema hit back at her former boss when she held a sold out concert at Kampala Serena Hotel where he (Bebe Cool) has on several occasions been termed as the ‘king of Serena’ for always holding a sold out concert there.
Rumour has it that this is the reason the Gagamel boss decided to change his Golden Heart Concert venue from Kampala Serena Hotel to Kololo Ceremonial Grounds so as to set a new ‘standard.’
