KAMPALA – The Ugandan fast-rising music trio of Born 2 Conquer (B2C) could have lost their brand name to Kampala Boyz due to unending fights with their former manager Andy Events.
The trio of Julio, Mr Lee and Bobby were formerly managed by Andrew Mugerwa commonly known as Andy Events, however, late last year, after their concert at Freedom City, Andy was sacked on money grounds.
Following this, rumors had it that Andy had asked the group to drop B2C as their brand name, claiming that it was legally his.
Unlike the previous songs, a fresh audio ‘Byamanyi’ dropped by the group on Tuesday 29th, the latter has changed the stage name from B2C to Kampala boyz.
Though the self-proclaimed soldiers haven’t come out yet to confirm the matter, the visuals directed by Kazibwe Dantie tells it all that they might have moved on to the new brand name.
B2C music Label was founded by Andrew Mugerwa who worked together for about 5 years in the music industry with great songs like ‘Gutamiza’ with the fallen crooner Mowzey radio and many others.
B2C fired Andy after their successful concert held Freedom city in Kampala, alleging that their manager rarely paid them.
