KAMPALA – Singer Veronica Luggya, best known by her stage name Vinka has on May 28 signed a recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment in South Africa.
The Swangz Avenue recording artist took the news to her social media expressing her gratitude and thankfulness to her bosses and supporters.
“I am Glad To Announce that I have joined the Sony Music Africa Family!! Thanks to my family at Swangz Avenue for believing in me since Day One and everyone else that has ever believed in me and loved Vinka,” she posted.
She added that it is time to take Uganda to the world noting, “Cheers to this new Journey. Let’s take this bloodclat Uganda to the WorldWide.”
Her excited Swangz Avenue managers congratulated Vinka upon reaching new heights in her music career.
“Congratulations Vinka upon your exclusive recording contract with Sony. We are so proud of you and what we have achieved so far in just 2 years,” Swangz Avenue posted.

Swangz Avenue promised to continue working with Vinka on this new journey.

Vinka came into the industry during her S.6 vacation because she had a passion for dance and music.
She was at first a dancer, then artists’ manager at Swangz Avenue for 3 years before becoming a singer.
She has so far released several hits like ‘Malaika’ that she describes as a slow dance hall beats jam that is taking her places. Singer Vinka’s other songs include ‘Level’, ‘Love doctor’, ‘Only love you’, ‘Stylo’ ft Irene Ntale, ‘Overdose’ ft Kent Koojo, ‘In the mood’ among others.
