
RUKUNGIRI – Barely two years ago, it was always a mere theme celebration basically in the entertainment world in Kigezi sub-region. Well, brace yourself; it is that time of the year.
The Boona FM fest, dubbed ‘e’ Kigutuuro‘ returns after nearly a year since its inauguration in celebration of the radio’s listenership in Kigezi.

The Station Manager, Namanya Kachene, revealed that the annual fest is an opportunity to have the listeners interact with their favourite radio personalities.”As Boona FM, our listeners are an integral part of our success and growth, e’Kigutuuro is a platform for us to give back to them with a fun-filled all-star fest,” revealed Kachene.

However a year after the start of Boona Fm a radio station located in the heart of Rukungiri municipality, passion and reality have started coming to normal.
Airing on frequency 91.8 FM, the Rukungiri municipality-based radio station was established in 2017 and features news, talk shows, music and entertainment.

With barely a week to the annual fest, ‘e’Kigutuuro‘ will keep the public on its toes ahead of the star-studded line-up of performances slated for this Saturday, July 27. It will feature the ‘Bambi’ hitmaker, Fresh Kid, Swangz Ave’s Winnie Nwagi, ’32’ hitmaker, Spice Diana, Gravity Omutujju, Amarula family’s Amooti Omubaranguzi, Western Uganda acts; Norah Nankunda, Lauben Namanya, Pastor Naabs and Kachaina with Comedy Store’s Alex Muhangi as Mccee.
Western Uganda’s RnB artistes, Ray G Rhigans will also debut his new hit single, Omusheeshe, on which he features Spice Diana that is rocking the airwaves of many radio stations.
