
KAMPALA – Jamaican reggae and dance hall stars Christopher Martins and D-Major real name Damian Codlin are coming to Uganda ahead of Bell all-star concert slated on 23rd August at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The was revealed during the Pulse Jam Fest featuring Chronixx at the Sheraton Gardens recently.
The singers (Christopher Martin and D-Major) also confirmed their upcoming performances in Uganda through a video message.
The two will be joined by local artistes who include; Fik Fameika, Nina Rose, Spice Diana, John Blaq, Bennie Gunter, Vinka among others.
Launched in 2017, Jamaican-American reggae star Tarrus Riley was bell’s first guest line artiste who came in 2018.
Christopher Martin has songs like cheater’s player, let her go, I’m a big deal, and many others while D-major has hits like deal is done, it’s on the way and others.
Francis Kirabira, Bell lager brand manager said that Bell lager is beyond excited to host reggae stars as they have massive airplay in Uganda.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica to a single mother, Damian Codlin a.k.a. D-Major grew up in a middle-class household listening to his mother’s R&B and Reggae collection of vinyl.
D-Major has collaborated with Christopher Martin and Agent Sasco on “Real Friends” and Busy Signal and Richie Loops on “Party Like It’s Your Birthday.” These hits helped to propel D-Major to mainstream success in Jamaica and on the international music scene.
Christopher Oteng Martin 32 is a reggae/dancehall singer and songwriter from St. Catherine, Jamaica.
Martin won Digicel’s Rising Stars in 2005 and is best known for the songs “Cheaters Prayer”, “I’m a big deal” “Let her go”, and “Is it love”.
