KAMPALA – Real name Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, Wizkid, a Nigerian superstar will be rocking Kampala on December 5 at Kololo Airstrip for the third time in Uganda after two years of holding successful concerts at Golf Course Hotel and Cricket Oval.
According to the organisers, it is his first International show to kick start December as we end the year 2019.
He will perform alongside Uganda’s cream de la cream artists to mash up the party.
The ‘Star Boy’ who has been on a music tour has performed in countries such as Australia, England, Portugal, France and recently, he performed in Tanzania at Diamond Platinumz Wasafi Festival.
“I can’t wait to come to Uganda, it is one of my favourite countries in the world and always shows me so much love. I cannot wait to turn up with my beautiful fans. Wizkid said on a video.
“I am excited to give my fans an amazing surprise concert. It is going to be epic” he concluded.
WizKid has over the years registered hit songs and won international recognition.
Believed to be Africa’s biggest music export, Wizkid has collaborated with stars like Beyonce on their recent song “Brown Skin Girl”, “Closer” featuring Drake, “African Bad Girl” with Chris Brown, among others.
This time round, the star boy has been sponsored by Pepsi, nineteen media among others and the tickets will cost a paltry fee of UGX 30,000 (Ordinary) and UGX (80,000).
