
KAMPALA – Ibrahim Ayodeji Baloguni commonly known to fans as Wizkid is expected to jet in for the Dirty December concert on December 5 at Kololo airstrip.
Fans are in a rush to buy tickets at multiple Total stations, all Funz video outlets and Nexus Lounge. Ordinary tickets are sold at UGX30, 000 and VIP tickets at UGX 80,000.
The “Daddy Yo” Nigerian singer was born in 1990, July 16 and started an active music career in 2001 at the age of 11. At this young age, the now singer and songwriter started to record music. In 2016, Wizkid attained international recognition after his collaboration with Singer Drake in the One Dance hit, which went viral and topped hit lists of about 15 countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia among others.
Wizkid is expected to perform alongside other Ugandan musicians, Djs, and MCs including John Blaq, Vinka, DJ Ciza and MC Deedan among others.
After failure to turn up, for the 2016 concert that was slated for December 3, 2016, in Kampala, the singer promised Ugandans to make it up to them in any way possible. This was after many had publicised and paid for the tickets which left fans outraged and disappointed.
On his twitter account, Wizkid humbly apologized to fans: “Apologies to my fans in Uganda! I promise to make it up anyway possible,” he promised.
With the promise, a lot is expected from the singer as many await his performance in the Dirty December concert.
