KAMPALA – The rains that gave Kampala a wash on Thursday did not deter party goers from the Kololo Airstrip Wizkid live performance.
Revellers stood watch outside the tents as the sound was fixed for the entertainer’s third live performance in Uganda.
Time check: 8:00 pm and the show had not started, it would seem like a flop as a handful of fans spent about two hours at the entrance waiting to be cleared.
The crowd, however, started swelling slowly by slowly, ushered in by DJ mixes that kept the night alive until a few curtain-raisers such as Hit Nature of the Twazikoze hit, Weasel and Fik Fameica followed suit.
The man himself stepped on stage at 11:20 pm clad in a jumper and simple damaged blue jeans. Throwing the fans into a frenzy and he started with Brown Skin Girl, then Dis Love, followed by Soco, then did Carol among others.

Wizkid paid glowing tribute to the late Mowzey Radio and called upon Weasel Manizo with whom they sand Don’t Cry a collaboration song they had in 2014.
The energetic star kept the notch high backed with a saxophonist and created a nostalgic moment sending the audience into that chants and screams as they sang along to his songs.
Wizkid was not spared musical wave of the Parte after Parte jam and called on Big Trill to warm up the fans who sang along.
It is the Kampala Capital City Authority regulations that halted the party leaving the fans that had just started enjoying yearning for more of Wizkid.
