KAMPALA – When the Covid-19 Pandemic hit the country earlier this year, the president suspended all music shows and concerts which left artists in awe.
The innovative artists however later started to hold online concerts to keep their fans entertained in the lockdown.
Fans have been used to this kind of arrangement since the entertainment industry, one of the biggest income generators and most followed worldwide changed the consumer attitudes and behaviors to fit the existing pandemic.
The effects of shutting down the music shows and concerts pinched hard to both the artists and event organizers as both parties would benefit from the various shows they would stage in the different regions of the country especially via the weekends.
The halting of the concerts and shows later sparked concerns from stakeholders on how they would adjust to the health threat and at the same time steadily revamp the music business.
While other artists like Iryn Namubiru were pushing their online concerts to prevent the spread of Covid-19, Suna is planning to have it in the scientific way.
Omulangira Suna (OS Suna) dropped a proposal of holding his concert dubbed ‘Tebatusobola’ concert amidst such a skeptical season.
This was shocking to his fans and friends as many ran with advice to him but OS Suna maintained plans of his concert up to date without consideration of any arising challenges.
The C.E.O White House Music who also previously held an online concert has slated his scientific concert for 30th August 2020 at Calender Hotel in Makindye.
According to the concert organizer, Abtex Promotions the concert will be on the due date announced and they will do everything possible to implement the stipulated Ministry of Health’s Standard of Operation Procedures (SOPs).
If all goes well, OS Suna will have Uganda listed among the first ever countries to hold scientific concerts globally after England and Germany that are also due this month.
