KAMPALA – Three weeks ago, social media was awash with a video of top diva Winnie Nwagi and top rapper Daniel Kigozi alias Navio in dance moves where the latter is seen seemingly uncomfortable with.
Lots of comments of how Winnie Nwagi was rejected by the married fellow musician Navio were all over after fans watched the trending video.
In the video, the Nkwagala Omu rapper who enjoys the moment for a few seconds as the Jangu singer rubs him sensationally, later runs away from her leaving her no choice but to stop dancing.
To this effect, a number of fans made comments claiming how Navio rejected the sexy singer for fear of sabotaging his marriage but the rapper did not buy their reasoning.
The rapper up and till yesterday had never come out to say anything of how the wife had taken the issue bearing that it had trended a lot all over social media.
The Njogereza hit maker finally revealed how his wife Matilda Kigozi reacted after the viral video in which he is seen trying to escape Winnie’s Charms in an interview with a local radio station.
Although many people applauded Navio for being respectful to his marriage and wife, Navio said that when Matilda saw the video she laughed at how social media had given the issue too much attention.
“At first, she ignored it, but when it grew bigger on social media, she just laughed so hard about it because she did not expect it to grow that far. My wife and I are big fans of Nwagi, so the incident did not mean a thing to us,” Navio said during an interview with a local radio station.
A moment ago when this video became an issue on social media, Navio maintained that he did not reject Nwagi as some people alleged, but he only stepped aside to check on the pictures which the camera guy had taken.
“Issues with that viral video clip going on, I’m here to clarify on this. It was a simple photo shoot, pausing for pictures with a fellow artist wouldn’t be bad!! And I wasn’t avoiding her. I just stepped a bit to check on the photos the camera guy was taking, thank you,” he said recently.
