
KAMPALA —Ugandan Music star Naira Ali has been listed among the performers at the 11th edition of the Ankara African Fashion and Music Festival in Los Angeles, United States, her music director has confirmed.
The Ankara Festival Los Angeles showcases African culture through fashion, arts, music, dance and food.
The concert has been scheduled for September 5, at Globe Theater, 740 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 900014.
Naira Ali whose music genres range from R&B, afro fusion, pop, rock, Reggea and soul will be appearing at the widely watched Ankara Festival show on September 5, alongside Nigeria’s Chinedu Okoli popularly known as Mr. Flavour.
In an interview with PML Daily on Wednesday, Naira Ali said the opportunity to perform at the top festival like Ankara AfricanFashion and Music Festival presents her a massive opportunity to spread wings to other global audiences.
“This is an opportunity for me to spread my wings outside of the Ugandan Community in the Diaspora,” she said
“The Ankara Festival brings People from all over the World. I am very excited about this opportunity,” Naira Ali whose third album has entered final stages added.
“Expect my third album soon. I won’t leave any stone unturned”, said, promising to topple the record of her previous performances.
This will be the first time that Naira Ali performs at Ankara Fashion and Music Festival.
Naira Ali’s music Director, Mayi Baligeyankoona said the Naira will join other African superstars including Flavour N’bania aka Mr. Flavour at the whose ticket prices range between USD 70 for general admission to USD 1000 for VIP.

The Ankara Fashion and Music Festival typically features some of the African most well-known performers.
Organisers says, the festival which gathers hundreds of people from different parts of the world was created in 2010 to increase the visibility of African culture through fashion, arts, music, dance and food.
The festival also showcases modern African designs in African print (Ankara), established African and African inspired designers, up and coming designers, who want a venue to showcase what they can do, and also develop their entrepreneurial ambition in the international fashion arena.
