
KAMPALA – On Thursday, August 22, Miss Tourism Uganda received financial support worth UGX 46.3M from Humura Uganda Safaris Limited in a sponsorship deal.
The cheque handover was conducted at the Ministry of Tourism Wildlife and Antiquties offices in Kampala.
Speaking to the media at the handover ceremony, The Director of Humura Uganda Safaris Ltd, Sam Asasiira said:
“We picked interest in Miss Tourism Uganda because it shares the same goal of promoting domestic tourism which is our aim and there is no better way to promote tourism than to partner with miss tourism Uganda.”
He also revealed that they intend to equip the contestants with both practical and soft skills in guiding tourists, product selling and marketing which will 0commence soon.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Miss Tourism Uganda, Allan Bwette thanked Humura Safaris for their partnership and for believing in the pageant organisers.
Mr Bwette pledged to deliver beyond expectations promising value for money in the bid to package Uganda as a pristine destination.
The pageant’s CEO also used the occasion to announce the coming of Miss Tourism World and Nigeria at the grand fete slated for October 4, at Serena hotel.
The other co-sponsors onboard include; Uganda Tourism Board(UTB), Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife & Antiquties, Uganda Wildlife Education Centre(UWEC), Uganda Wildlife Authority(UWA), Kampala Serena Hotel among others.
