KAMPALA–Parliament business Tuesday afternoon stalled and members traded blows on the floor of Parliament following claims that one of them smuggled a gun in the House.
Opposition legislators claimed their NRM counterparts had smuggled guns in the House and asked that they be searched again.
“Madam Speaker, I would like to seek your indulgence, for members to leave the chamber to be checked again,” appealed MP William Nzhougu.
The members were later searched any by press time, business had resumed, though punctuated by interruptions from rowdy legislators.
