KAMPALA–Kyaddondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine has hailed President Museveni’s response to his earlier statement and called for continuity dialogue.
Museveni yesterday responded to Bobi Wine’s earlier statement about governance issues in the country.
Bobi Wine’s statement followed a letter that President Museveni wrote in the government-owned New Vision in July.
“…I wish we would at all times engage intellectually and in a civil manner other than resorting to the use of force, violence and other machinations,” the renown musician wrote.
President Museveni responded to Bobi Wine’s concerns on the former’s long stay to power, the rampant youth unemployment and the national debt, among others.
Museveni referred to the legislator as a liar, uninformed; and his opposition colleagues as uninclined and arrogant.
But according to the MP, the statement also had a number of mistakes which he promised to address in detail later.
“The statement contains many errors-the obvious one being that I am an MP for Kyadondo East NOT KYADONDO NORTH),” he said.
Bobi Wine has of recent turned into a strong critique of the NRM government. While appearing on NBS’ popular talkshow, The Front Line, the musician turned politician wondered why the generation of the Ofwono Opndo’s wants his (Bobi Wine’s) generation to accept the same issues you refused to accept.
