
KAMPALA–Just days after payTV company Azam launched its festive celebrations, Multichoice/DSTV has also done the same.
DSTV announced the developments yesterday at their head offices in Kololo.
The biggest PayTv company across Africa revealed that they will be reducing the prices of all their packages effective November 1 in a move aimed at ensuring that all DSTV customers get the best international and local channels at affordable prices.
Speaking to journalist at the press conference, MultiChoice General Manager, Charles Hamya, said they are aware of the tough economic situation in the country and would love to reward their customers for the loyalty.

“We at MultiChoice recognize that our customers are living in tough economic times and want to reward them for their continued loyalty and support by providing quality entertainment at an affordable price,” Hamya said.
“We want to adjust the price of our DStv packages through making them affordable while adding more value at the same time,” he added.
Hamya concluded by assuring customers that MultiChoice will continue reviewing the prices time to time.
In addition to the price adjustments, DStv has also announced another offer dubbed Blue Christmas.
The promotion will see customers who either purchase the full kit at Shs132,500 or re-subscribe to compact, compact plus and premium win them selves prices ranging from weekend getaway trips of two, subscription and branded items.
Phoebe Nakabazzi, DStv’s Marketing Manager, said customers subscribing to different packages upon due of their latest subscription will be offered seven days of free entertainment.

“If a customer of Access or Family subscribes in time upon expiry of their fomer subscription, they will automatically get seven days for free and in turn be able to access all sports channels on the compact package,” Nakabazzi said.
The new pricing of the different packages
Premium: It will cost 280,000 from 287,250.
Compact Plus: 180,000 from 190,700.
Compact: 115,000 from 121,600.
Family: 60,000 from 66,750.
Access: 33,000 from 38,000.
