Prominent lawyer and former legal advisor to the Democratic Party Joseph Balikuddembe has passed on. Balikuddembe died Thursday afternoon at Nsambya Hospital. He has been battling cancer.
Balikuddembe served as the Democratic Party Legal Advisor and also contested as Member of Parliament for Lubaga South Constituency.
He served as DP vice-president for Buganda region 2005 and 2010. He was lawyer for Africa Muslim Community Juma Sect Bukoto Nateete and also served as deputy Speaker Mengo Lukiiko. He was Legal Advisor to Bataka Committee that recommended on election of Lukiiko based on Masaza. His constitutional court petition with Erias Lukwago, led to the fleeing political party activities in 2005.
