Buganda Road Court will Monday February 26, to kick-off with the trial of social commentator Frank Gashumba and his brother Innocent Kasumba who are facing charges of fraud.
The duo is said to have connived with Ismail Kiyingi , a Tour and Travel guide to impersonate Ministry of Defence officials with a motive of fradulently obtaining money from two Dutch nationals under the guise of offering them tenders to supply farm equipment to the Ministry of Defence .
Prosecution further states that the Gashumba and Kasumba were found in possession of narcotics and forged IDs from the Republic of South Sudanese and ministries of Agriculture, Health, Education , Finance and Transport.
Chief Magistrate James Ereemye Mawanda, this morning set the date for trail after Resident State Attorney Jonathan Muwaganya informed court that police investigations in the case are complete.
