High Court in Kampala was earlier this morning forced to adjourn the hearing of a treason case against 19 Muslim suspects facing trial for treason after a key witness developed severe diarrhoea in court.
The witness, who was going to be the 4th to testify against the acused, told trial judge Wilson Masalu Musene that he is too weak to either talk, stand or sit to give his testimony and asked for three days to gain his strength.
Advising the witness to see the best doctor available, Justice Musene adjourned the case to Wednesday next week.
The suspects are facing two counts of treason and concealment of treason where they are said to have contrived a plot to over throw the government of Uganda by use of firearms between 2013 and 2015 at various places in Uganda , Dubai , Kenya and Tanzania.
The group has now been remanded back to Luzira and Kigo government prisons.
