
KISUGU: Abubakari Karangwa, a 27-year-old boda boda cyclist has been charged and sent back on remand at Luzira prison on allegations that he defiled a 5-year-old nursery school child of Kisugu Junior School in Kampala.
Karangwa appeared before High Court Justice Jane Francis Abodo, where he had the charge read to him. However he denied the allegations against him.
Prosecution states that, the accused committed the offence on November 17, 2015 at Kisugu Makindye division in Kampala.
According to the court documents, Karangwa was hired by the victim’s mother to take and collect her from School which he did for the first two weeks. However, on the fateful day, Karangwa instead of taking the child home, he rode her to his house and performed sexual act with her.
Karangwa who has been on remand for over three years will reappear in court on June 13 for hearing of his case.
Man jailed for attempting to rape Police officer
In another court a boda boda rider at Kamwokya Kifumbira zone, Alex Nzeimana has been pinned by a police officer for attempting to rape a woman while in her garden.

Detective Constable Yunia Nyakecho attached to Kira Road police station told the presiding magistrate at City Hall Court, Mr Patrick Talisuna, that the accused person followed the victim from Kifumbira zone Kamwokya to her gardens at Mulago Takabikirwa zone where he grabbed and attempted to rape her.
According to the police officer’s evidence, the victim over powered him by biting his private parts.
Prosecution states that Nzeimana on October 8, 2017 at Mulago Takabukirwa zone attempted to rape Pauline Nsabimana.
