
Studies at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) have on Tuesday morning been disrupted after students went on strike, demanding the resignation of chairman of the Council, Prof Venasius Baryamureeba.
Carrying placards with different inscriptions insulting Prof Baryamureeba, the students blamed him for interfering with the work of the principal, Prof Waswa Balunywa.
Donning red gowns, they then marched to the main hall, demanding the resignation of the Council chairman.
Police then came in is trying to contain the situation.

The guild president, Julius Ntanda, also tried to calm down the striking students, saying their issues are being addressed.
It is not immediately clear where Prof Balunywa and Prof Baryamureeba are at the university at the moment.
